1st District Wisconsin Assembly
I am running on my 30-year record of service to the 1st District that exemplifies my willingness to work hard, keep the promises I make and be fiscally responsible. People know me as a no nonsense kind of person. I am dismayed by our legislators who have forgotten that these are the traditional Wisconsin values we all cherish.
My campaign theme is “No Nonsense Leadership.” My first priority will be to represent you in Madison, not special interests. My wife Carol and I built our family business by providing uncompromising, dependable service to our customers and a quality work environment for our employees. With your support I will do the same for our District. We must do a better job of bringing people together to get things done. The issues before the Assembly are too important to continue the kind of nonsense we've been hearing from Madison since 1992..
All my life I’ve worked to bring people together to solve the problems they face. This is no time for ineffective, do-nothing, put-the-party-before-everything-else, business-as-usual politics. You deserve a legislator who will work for you, not for the special interests.
We’ve been debating health care reform for 20 years but many people are still more worried about losing their health insurance than losing their job. We’re forced to fund essential services for our schools and students by raiding transportation funds. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the land we farm are all under attack… Too many familys are facing uncertain futures.
I firmly believe that, working together, using good common sense, we can restore our government’s effectiveness and get our state moving forward once again. Groups likethe National Governors' Association and the Pew Center on the States do not put WIsconsin high on their lists of states doing things right.
